RARE Antique Silverplate Meriden Britannia Company Peacock Centerpiece  Stand with Horned Goats and Glass Dish Insert
This is a stunning piece! Two peacocks perch on either side of the hexagonal footed tray, and three horned goats adorn the hoof-footed base. The hexagon frosted & etched cut glass dish sits inside the tray. I have not been able to find this in any Meriden B catalog. I'd call it a centerpiece, berry dish or bride's bowl.
Stamped on bottom, along with "54" as the pattern number. See photo.
Sizes are approximately:
total stand size: 10.25 tall   x  11 inches wide
tray size is 6 inches wide x 7 inches deep
glass hexagon tray bowl is 9 inches wide x 10.25 long x 2 inches tall.
Condition overall is excellent antique, with surface tarnish and wear. The glass dish has some chips along a couple of edges.
