Old vulcanite styles were most common during the first 20 years of the 1900s. This light has nickel plated brass ends and switch. The exterior is in good condition except that the receiving end of the tail assembly has lost 2 of its' 3 rivets. You need to use caution when unscrewing the tail cap. There appears to be a solder point on the bottom of the 3 rivet switch that may not be original. This light is currently not in working condition. I have tested the bulb and it is good. I am able to get it to light up by running an over ride wire from the tail cap directly to the bulb metal collar. I would guess that it is due to some switch repair work. Sold as is. It displays very well.
