Vintage Estate 1940's Doll Bed Patchwork Coverlet 160 Blocks Hand Sewn OOAK

Description

This auction is for a vintage living estate handmade patchwork coverlet. It was handsewn for original owner in 1949 to go with a doll bed received for Christmas that year. The blocks are 2 1/2" square, cotton, probably combination of feed sack and dress fabric.All the colors of the rainbow: in solids, checks ,plaids, polka dots, fruits, flowers, stripes. One block has litte white kitty cats, one is printed to look like rick rack, and one has a bucking bronco horse!
Measures about 24" by 24"
Made of 9 rows of about 9 blocks each; 81 blocks each side, different  configuration on each side  so that is is reversible (see 2nd and 3rd pix for a  full view of each side)
Handmade Jadite green binding on edges; all pieces hand sewn, no bunting in middle, no quilting
Couple places here and there where stitches have come loose; one block has a tear up one side (see last pic)
Over the years has probably been exposed to cigarette smoke and pets
I have left any cleaning for new owner; it is dusty
