Description
Cute, shiny, decorative nut bowl with asquirrel finial. What a fun place to store your nuts for the winter!The heavy silver plated bowl is shaped like a large drying fall leaf with veins and crimped mouth edge. There is a squirrel finial that rests on a twig at one end of the leaf. The bowl rests on four husked filbert feet.
There is a stamped mark on the base. It reads; PAIRPOINT MFG CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE . There is a diamond shape with a letter P inside of it. There is a stamped number 5532 beneath the marks.
MEASUREMENTS
11” (28.0 cm) long x 7” (17.8 cm) wide x 5” (12.7 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 8.8 oz (705 g)
CONDITION
There are no breaks, dents, or cracks. There are silver losses. You can see the base metal peeking through the silver plate in places, especially on the bottom. It still has shined up nicely though, especially on the top where you see it.
A must for the Victorian décor or even shabby chic. A fun decorative piece that can still be used for what it was intended. Pass around the nut bowl.
