Description
We are pleased to offer an American Made beautiful Renaissance Revival Period Tilting Silver Plate Water Pitcher it is in great antique condition with great silver plate coverage. Nice detail decoration and engraving oftracery which depicts leaves, flowers, and stems, please see photos
. The handle is topped with a "Jenny Lind" head and a Satyr's head at the based of the handle.
The Tilter Set comes complete with the Pitcher, Stand, Catch Tray and matching tumbler. The set was made by R. Strickland Co., Albany, New York which is marked on the bottom of the pitcher. They operated from 1857 to 1884. This is a
Beautiful piece of history.
There are two barely noticeable old repairs. The pitcher was repaired to reattach the lid hinge and finial. Otherwise it is a wonderful clean and shiny set with figural heads that adds more value, charm, and desirability.
