Orange Peel is cut and sifted to a standardized size. This is considered SWEET orange peel and will impart a clean citrus flavor to any beer when steeped at the end of boil. Orange peel will impart some bitterness but not the harsh bitterness associated with curaco or bitter orange peel. This product is going to be much smoother and blend better with other flavors like chamomile, honey, and clove. Sweet orange peels will not give you a metallic taste like some other kinds of oranges tend to do. Great in Summer beers, Belgian Specialties and Christmas Beers. 1oz is a typical amount for a 5 gallon batch. Great for that added depth in your holiday beer, strong ales, and Belgians. Add about 1/2 ounce for the last 15 minutes of the boil. Can be combined with paradise seed and honey for added depth. We only offer the very best quality ingredients vacuum packed and fresh.
