    Description

Directly from the heart of snowy & very cold Siberia, Russia, created by hand, small size niddy noddy to you for your very fresh project.
I simply named this niddy noddy Lusy, & do you know why, because, I was tired winding my handspun yarn on a long niddy noddy to create a hank of yarn that is 2 yards around. That niddy noddy is so big, that I have to stand & hold up in the air, or it will touch my chest & create for me a very difficult way to wind my yarn, my arms & hands were very tired, so I decided to create my own , a smaller size , but a correct size, I like to spin my yarn & measure it at once, so I would know how many yards are there, the best way to count is by yards, so my little niddy noddy is exactly what you need, you simply count your handspun yarn on one side of the niddy noddy & you know how many yards all together, you do not need to count , then multiply , then divide, this is how you do with your big niddy noddy, simplicity is the way to success, my Grandfather told me one day many years ago. Some other companies sell small size niddy noddy, but creates a 42” hank, what is good , nothing, you need to count by yards here in USA
    1 yard is 3 feet, or 36”
I asked my Uncle Nicolay in Siberia to create me few of my size niddy noddy, & here they are , from the heart of Siberia , directly to USA. My Uncle created a lot of interesting items for me, spindles, bowls, sock darners. I just got these niddy noddy few days ago & decided to put in my shop today, the New Year’s eve. Made out of Siberian birch tree wood.
The size is , from tip to tip is 9”, the top , or bottom piece is 7”.
Both bottom & top piece can be taken off & you can take it with you, like 3 piece set, take a little room.
To assemble, insert the center shaft into the holes in the crossbars. Twist the bars so that they are crossed. To wrap the yarn around the niddy noddy, take the yarn over the left end of the top crossbar, down and under the right side of the lower crossbar, up and over the left end of the top crossbar, and then back down and under the right end of the lower crossbar.
Then tie the loose ends of the yarn around the width skein where they end to secure the ends. Then slip the yarn off the niddy noddy.
To wrap the yarn into a twisted skein, hold both ends of the skein and twist the ends in opposite directions until the yarn twists back onto itself bending from the center. Then tuck one end into the other.
I stamped my name on my niddy noddy, if you want I can put your initials there too, just convo me, and no charge for that.
