  • Condition: This Armoire Murphy Bed is old and not perfect, wonderful patina, there are some splits, scratches and wear to wood but it is an extremely rare item and almost impossible to find.     Unique stunning doll size ARMOIRE AND MURPHY BED. This all
    wood doll wardrobe has a surprise - a Murphy bed!
    I believe this was a salesman’s sample originally and made in the early 1900’s.
    The original owner added a nice fabric back ground for an added touch.
    This amazing Armoire has two doors when open reveal’s a four wooden pegs for your dolls dress, coat or maybe a sweater and the bottom of Armoire is a large drawer for her slips, petticoats, stocking and other delicates.
    But the wonderful unique treasure of this doll size is in the back, when you pull down the top a slatted bed appears and reveals a special treat. Someone took the time to make a beautiful detail headboard with embroidered flowers, leaves and a bow and the border going around the frame must of taken hours to make.
    You can see where the colors are still bright and the details continue to the footboard and sides of Armoire with wooden panels. (see pictures).
    I had this Mattress and pillow handmade special.
    The seamstress made this set using antique fabric and it was completely handmade to keep with the period time of this Armoire Murphy Bed.

    CONDITION:
    This Armoire Murphy Bed is old and not perfect anymore.
    One slat has been replaced, smaller then the others slats and there are a couple of cracks in the wood (see pictures) All drawer pulls are original. At the foot of the bed one of the peg leg looks to me at one time it broke and was replaced.
    The patina is wonderful and I only dust not to damage the patina.
    So yes there
    are some splits, scratches and wear to wood but it is an extremely rare item and almost impossible to find.
    MEASUREMENT:
    When closed the Armoire is 12X 8X 3.5.
    When bed is open it measures 14X7X4.5.
    I have enjoyed this unique piece for many years and know the new owner will enjoy it as much as I did.
    It is so very hard now a days to find those truly unique and rare item don’t you agree?
