    Description

All the ingredients you need to make the best shine, whiskey or bourbon on either side of the Mississippi! This ingredient kit includes the following and ships as pictured.  The potential ABV for the 5 gallon batch kit is 9-10 percent.  (Of course our grains can be reused if you wish to do so as well with more sugar additions.)
    9lbs of Organic Cracked Corn
    1lb of Organic Barley
    1lb of Organic Rye
    5lbs of Sugar
1 package of Outlaw X yeast (our proprietary blend, not some Jack or Jim knock off)
1 package of Amylase Enzyme  (kit works with or with out)
    Instructions for use
Now we aren't tree huggers or vegans by any means,  but that doesn't mean we want pesticides in our shine either,  in our opinion, "premium grains" don't include extra chemicals.  We expect what goes into our shine to be clean, just like what comes out!  This is why we source organic grains,  do they cost us a little more?  Sure, but somethings are worth paying a little extra.  We have contracts in place to ensure we get the best rates on shipping to help offset the cost difference and pass the savings AND quality onto our customers.
Our grains are crushed and packaged just before shipping, we do a high volume of sales, so bags of grain aren't sitting in a warehouse for a year before being shipped.  Ensuring you get the freshest high quality grains possible!
A few questions to ask yourself AND the seller before buying this or any kit...
What is the potential ABV?  (how much alcohol should I get after fermentation?)
In this kit the total potential alcohol is 9-10 percent on a 5 gallon batch, right out of the box.  (this can be increased if you wish to add more sugar)  We have competitor selling a kit with 8lbs of corn, 1lb rye, 1lb barley,  the potential will hit only 3-4 percent out of the box with no additions.  I'll let you do the math,  but you get twice the ABV for the LESS money with our kit. And of course our grains can be reused as well if you wish to do so.
    Does this kit include Amylase?
Enzymes are natural components that break down starches into fermentable sugars.  Barley which we include in some kits contain enough enzymes for converting most of the starches (just like our competitors).  BUT,  we have found we get better CONVERSION RATES (better starch conversion=more sugar=more alcohol) when we use amylase, if you choose not to use it or prefer an out dated method, that's up to you.  But the option is there in our kits.
    What kind of yeast?
We include our own proprietary yeast which yields a high clean alcohol volume.  We don't need to use something similar to what major corporations use, we have our own.  If you wish to make something that tastes like a commercial brand, wouldn't it be easier to just buy it?
