Oak Chips are used in the winemaking process to add oak flavor and essence to the wine without the need for a oak barrel. They may also be used in some beer styles where toasted oak is desired.
American oak is considered to be the most "Oak-y". Light Toast is ideal for adding just a hint of barrel-aged flavors & aromas. Recommended minimum contact time is 2 months. For a six gallon batch, use 3 to 4 ounces of oak
