ey moonshiners here's a one pound nitrogen flushed foil packet of high quality fresh dated Red Star DADY (Distiller's Active Dry Yeast).  This is the stuff that converts your sugar to booze!  Tolerates up to 22% alcohol, but works best in 14% sugar. his is enough yeast for 500-1000 gallons of grain mash or sugar wash.  Most moonshiners double or triple the dosage for a faster start and more rapid fermentation.  Add directly to fermenter by sprinkling evenly on top, wait 20 mins for rehydration and then stir it in well.  Sealed bags store at room temperature for years.  When you open the bag you can portion is out into separate bags and freeze some of it.  Be sure to wrap well to prevent freezer burn.   Refrigerate or freeze after opening, and always allow yeast to come to room temperature before pitching.  Keep out of direct sunlight.  Requires the addition of yeast nutrients for healthy fermentation.   We have FERMAX brand nutrient and DAP in bulk and can ship it with your yeast.
This is the Red Star DADY yeast repackaged by either LD Carlson or BSG Handcraft (Formerly Crosby & Baker).  We currently prefer the LDC packaging because the bag is resealable and will stand up all by itself.  OtherwiseThe yeast you will get from us was made in the last 180 days.   I am leaving some photos of the various old labels attached to the listing - you can be sure this is the same good standby yeast we have always sold.
