James TUFTS Hand Painted Enameled Vase ~ Silver ~ Handled Art Nouveau Base
Lovely GILLINDER GLASS Pressed Glass Ruffled Oval Green Center Bowl
Nips along rim
This is a beautiful, late 19th century, ornate vase. The glass vase is enamel painted a deep royal blue, with hand painted, enameled florals in white and gold. The quadruple plated silver base is highly ornate. The floral and beaded embossed 3" base rises up to hold the base of the vase with florals and leaves. The openwork handle has a floral stem center. The mark on the bottom of the silverplate base is "JAMES W. TUFTS BOSTON, QUADRUPLE PLATE WARRANTED , "T" in Star mark, 1864". The silverplated base in in very good condition. The vase has nips along the rim and has been painted gold. Hard to find these with their original epergne vase. Priced accordingly. Total Height: 9".
