this shifter is made to fit many Honda models ,  the pinch bolt goes in from the bottom side on this shifter and can be tightened with a 10mm box end wrench. if you tighten the shifter pinch bolt until the pinch is squeezed shut and it is still loose on the shift shaft spline then your shift shaft spline is worn and should be replaced. here is a trick to get some more life out of the shift shaft when it is worn. take a hacksaw cut out of the pinch area of the shifter so it can squeeze down more on the worn shift shaft spline. i also have a heavy duty folding end shift lever with the pinch bolt that goes in from the top listed  .
