What Is A Gin Basket For?
Gin Basket allows you to convert a moonshine still into an alcohol still capable of producing gin, flavored vodka, moonshine, and other flavor-infused spirits.
Simply use one of the gin infusion kit,  or your own botanical recipe. Add the ingredients to the basket for your own unique brand of spirits!
Where Do You Put The Gin Basket?
The gin basket can be placed anywhere before the condenser; the only real consideration is the basket’s design, which ensures that the vapour contacts all of the botanicals. Putting the gin basket in a rectifying column is also an option.  You could even put the basket in the middle of the column!  The gin will taste noticeable with the same botanicals and different techniques.
New Gin Basket User – What To Expect?
Steam infusion is different from maceration and has its own secrets in production.
We would recommend doing a small “heads cut” during the gin distillation, as the initial juniper notes could be a bit overpowering.
In general, there is nothing special, and for many of you, it’s as “always”, however, there is a difference. You would need to make heads cut not just because of the quality of your base spirit, but also in order to make gin soften or with noticeable notes of juniper.
New and improved design. Now you can add/remove your botanicals without disassembling your column!!  It is accessible via tri-clamp on the top. Add a bag of your favorite herbs for flavor, remove and replace, never taking your column apart.
