    Description

    Flaked Maize,
    (corn) unlike crack corn can be added directly to the mash without the need for a cereal mash. The unmalted corn is gelatinized by
    treating the cereal with steam and then crushing the grain between hot rollers. Maize can make up as much as 80% of the mash for corn whiskey and at least 51% for bourbon. In beer, maize makes up around 4% of the mash in British style beers and up as much as 50% in American Pilsners.
