    Description

    This is for a lovely piece of history from Baker Ellis in a silver plated jar with an attached footed tray. The piece has an attached lid with a good working hinge.The piece is decorated with hand work etching in a decorative swirl and floral pattern. It has a area in the front that could be engraved with initials or dates if desired.
    The piece would be from the early 20th century and is good condition with lovely silver plate with only one are of concern that can be seen with the pen pointed at the tray.
    I am unsure if it is on top or missing silver plate in the pin sized spot.
    I polished the piece but took great care on being soft on the spot, **please note the picture with the pen pointed at the area.**
    The piece has 3 decorated feet and is etched on the base with the makers name.
    This item measures : 7 inches tall with the lid down.  The plate measures 7 inches in diameter.
    The exact intended use is unclear to me but I see it as a biscuit jar, trinket holder, wine or champagne chiller or even an ice bucket. I obtained this as it is such a beauty just sitting empty and yet has so many uses!
    Majority of my items for sale are pre-loved treasures that were most likely purchased at a local Estate Sale or a local resale shop in Arizona.  I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices.
