Antique MERIDEN B. - SQUARE Quad Silver PICKLE CASTOR w Tongs - CRANBERRY JAR

Description

This is a lovely Victorian PICKLE CASTOR from the MERIDEN B. Co..  It has a Square shaped platform supported on 4 footed ball feet, side loops with ball feet hold the jar ring and a ring topped handle with
ball decorations at the sides finishes the frame.  There is one hook for tongs (included).  Circa 1890's
The Jar or insert is a sparkling piece of antique Cranberry art glass with handprinted pansies and gold leaf scrolling.  The very top of the jar rim has a 3mm nick seen in the photos.  There is a tiny chip in the rim that is not visible in the photo.  Otherwise, the gold and paint are in perfect condition.
