carders, introducing the Fancy kitty “Little Tom XL (WIDE) a manual Cottage Industry drum carder.
The GIANT drum carder with a Little price.
It is a manually operated drum carder using a 17 wide x 38 inch circumference swift and licker. It sports a smooth tung oil finish. It uses the same drive system as the Fancy kitty “Little Tom. The frame is 5.5 inches tall and the total height of the “Little Tom is 12.5 inches. The length is the same as the “Big Tom at 22.5 inches long. It comes standard with a brush attachment and has an optional single motor, motorization Kit that is functionally the same as the“Little Tom standard motorization kit.
It has the same 4 to 1 feed to card ratio as the“Little Tom standard.
It is constructed with 3/4 inch solid American red oak & has a gorgeous Tung Oil finish. It is 22.5 inches long, 22 inches wide, and 12.5 inches tall, weighing 38 pounds.
If features a 8.5 inch wide 12.5 inch tall swift equipped with 120 tpi carding cloth standard, it will create a batt 38 inches long. The Licker-in is equipped with 90 tpi carding cloth.
Both axles run in sealed ball bearings for super smooth & maintenance free operation.
It comes with a brush attachment as standard equipment.
We offer an auxiliary drum assembly that can be changed by removing and reinstalling the four swift adjusting screws. It is an option available in the following available cloth densities, 54, 72, 90, 120, 190 tpi. This means you can card any type fiber with ONE drum carder.
