These are 8"x1" strip thermometers with a peelable adhesive on the back to stick to your primary bucket or secondary carboy.  Also handy to stick to the inside of your cooler!  Although this is a low-range scale designed for Lagers and Ales, it does handle 44 degrees to 86 degrees, suitable for most all wine and shine fermentations. See my other items if you need the higher range scale strip thermometer that also shows Celsius.

eading the temperature is going to be very easy.  If one crystal is highlighted in green that is the temperature.  If two adjoining crystals are highlighted in blue and tan it is the temperature in between.  Some photos may still show the obsolete, less accurate model with different temperature range
