304 Stainless Heating Element Enclosure, Moonshine Still 2" Tri clamp x 1" NPS

Description

This heating element enclosure kit is made from 304
stainless
steel, and is perfect for protecting your element connections. This enclosure allows for easy maintenance and
availability
to service your water heater element. It is sized to fit a 2" tri clamp connection, and has a 1" NPS threaded connection for a standard water heating element.
The slit in the 2" specifically modified end cap allows liquid to drain out of the enclosure in the event of a leak, and helps prevent your circuits from shortening out due to flooding of the enclosure. Therefore when installed, the gap should always face towards the ground to allow proper drainage.

(1) stainless steel heating element enclosure, with 1" NPS threaded connection for a standard heating element

DETERMINING TRI CLAMP SIZE
Tri Clamp sizes are determined by the outer diameter of the pipe or tubing, not the outer diameter of the flange or Tri Clamp itself. The flange of a Tri Clamp fitting typically has about a ½” inch greater diameter than the outside diameter of the pipe. This can become especially confusing when the Tri Clamp fitting has no pipe attached to it, as is the case with adapters, For instance, a 1.5" Tri Clamp to 1/2" Hose Barb Adapter is not 1.5" inches in any dimension, but the Tri Clamp end will fit any other 1.5" Tri Clamp fitting.
